Mepham 5, Port Washington 2: Allison Scott defeated Victoria Tai at first singles, 10-21, 21-16, 21-8, to lead No. 8 Mepham past No. 9 Port Washington in the first round of the Nassau badminton playoffs. Jill Hochman and Temidire Oladeji defeated Lilym Salit and Ava Puton at third doubles, 17-21, 21-10, 21-17. Port Washington finishes the season with 14-1. Mepham (1-14) will travel to No. 1 Jericho Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
